1985: Started hairdressing as a 'Saturday girl'.
1987: Started fulltime at Shape In Hair in Abingdon, starting a three-year training to learn all aspects of hairdressing: colouring, perming, cutting and styling, blow drying, as well as customer care.
1988: Moved to a bigger and more challenging salon in Oxford, Symmes, to continue my training.
1989: Moved with my colleagues to a new salon, Copa Hair in Oxford where I stayed until the end of my training in 1990.
1990: After completing my training I was invited by my old colleagues at Shape In Hair to join the team as a senior stylist.
1992: Decided to launch my own mobile hairdressing business.
2001: Took part-time position as a senior stylist at a leading London salon, Tommyguns in Soho. As an independent hairdresser there is a risk of losing touch with the latest developments and trends, not to mention the feedback from peers. At the same time I continued running my own business in Oxfordshire.
2002: Joined the team of The Lounge, another trendy Soho salon.
2003: returned to my Oxfordshire business fulltime
2004: Attended hair up/styling course.
2005: Attended cutting and colouring course.
2006: Attended hair up/styling course.
Training
Yearly I attend several training courses, such as a regular cutting course and a colouring course as well as specialist courses for 'up-do's'.
