I'm a real local - born and bred in Oxfordshire!
I live in the heart of Oxfordshire and I can frequently be spotted letting my hair down in one of Oxford's many venues. I know Oxfordshire like the back of my hand and visit my clients at the many beautiful wedding locations the county has (see Coverage for more details).
I started hairdressing at 14 as a 'Saturday girl' in Abingdon. I loved it from the start, and it was a natural choice to make it my career. I've worked in salons in Abingdon, Oxford and London, and since the early nineties I've been working in Oxfordshire as a mobile hairdresser (see CV if you want to know where I've worked and with whom).
My specialisation is bridal and evening hair. It is the most creative type of hairdressing and the most exciting too. After all, what can possibly be more satisfying for a stylist than to make a bride look beautiful on her big day? It's not just about the day; it's also about creating memories that last a lifetime, a big responsibility I take very seriously.
Working with brides requires special skills, and not only the hairdressing skills you should expect from a professional stylist. Apart from taking regular courses to keep up to date with the latest trends and techniques I work closely with the bride to find the right look. Together we often work out a schedule for the big day, to take the stress out of getting ready on time and make the experience special and even relaxing. I do not work from a salon but rather, I bring the salon to you at home or at your hotel on your wedding day. And because I am an independent stylist, if you decide to book me, I will be looking after you personally.
Whether you are looking for something in particular or are stuck for ideas, give me a ring for a friendly chat. It's always lovely to hear from an exited bride-to-be and see what I can do for you!
